Policies & Regulations
We ask that all patrons familiarize themselves with and abide by the following policies and regulations to help us maintain the A-Frames in a good working condition.
1. Authorized Patronage for Coast Guard MWR Programs
All Active Duty members and their families have priority when submitting reservations for the A Frame cabins followed by all other eligible patrons in accordance with COMDTINST M1710.13 (series), Chapter 3.B lists all eligible patrons for Coast Guard MWR programs.
A. Alcohol Consumption. Alcoholic beverages (beer, wine, etc.) shall not be consumed outside the A-frame units.
B. Checking-in. Sponsors with reservations must present the approved application, payment receipt and valid military ID card immediately upon arrival. The caretaker will check occupants in and acquaint them with the accommodations to which they have been assigned.
C. Cleanliness. Sponsors occupying A-frame units will be required to sign a check-in/check-out sheet concerning the condition and cleanliness of the unit to which they have been assigned. Signatures will be required at the same time the sponsor checks in and at the time the sponsor checks out. Cleaning gear is available in the units and you are expected to leave the units and surrounding area clean and orderly. This program has neither the funds nor the personnel to perform custodial services. You will be checked into a clean unit and are expected to leave a clean unit for the next guests. Deposit your garbage in the dumpster provided on the station grounds. Leave furniture as you found it and keep all gear stowed when not in use. Failure to clean and check out of the A frame with the unit Officer of the Day will be cause to refuse future reservation requests.
D. Damages. All furnishings are the property of the United States Coast Guard and shall remain in the A-Frames. Any damages to the A-frame or furnished equipment through recklessness or negligence the sponsor will be responsible for the cost of repair and/or replacement. All discrepancies will be reported to Commander, USCG Sector San Francisco.

Once the request is received, a confirmation email or an email stating there is no availability will be sent.
Please refrain from calling the Station regarding your reservation unless the request is "last minute" and you need a confirmation sooner than two weeks after submitting intitial request. The station will not accept calls regarding a-frames after 2100 and before 0730.

I. Transferring Occupancy (i.e. giving your reservation to someone else). You may not transfer occupancy privileges. Occupancy will be by sponsor making the reservations and his/her guest. No occupancy will be permitted without the sponsor being one of the occupants. Occupying a unit by someone other than that assigned by Officer In Charge, Station Lake Tahoe is prohibited. Black Bears are very active in the Lake Tahoe area. Do not leave food items outside the A Frames or in vehicles. Ensure your vehicles are locked at all times. Bears will smell the food in vehicles and cause major damage trying to get inside.
